The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 has been full of drama, action, and entertainment. The pitches have been sporting so far, for both bowlers and batters. Taking pace off has proved instrumental, and there has been a lot of assistance for the spinners, even in the otherwise batting-friendly wickets of Mumbai.
As batters aimed to dominate and deliver match-defining performances, a few went a step further by launching record-breaking hits over extraordinary distances. Here’s a look at some of the biggest maximums recorded in this edition.
Longest sixes of the T20 World Cup 2026-
Cameron Green – 98m

Australia’s opening match at the T20 World Cup against Ireland saw them take the aggressive route against the bowlers, with Cameron Green leading the charge with a quick-fire 21 off 11 balls. One of his two sixes was a huge one, going for nearly 100m. Green struck this in the fifth over against Mark Adair, over deep backward square leg.
Noor Ahmad – 98m

With eight wickets down and 18 runs required, the match seemed to have gotten away from Afghanistan against South Africa. Marco Jansen dismissed Rashid Khan, and Noor Ahmad walked out at No. 9, to do the unthinkable.
Jansen bowled it in the slot, and Noor nailed the loft over long-on, to strike a defining 98m six, which played a vital role in leading the match eventually to a super over.
Kamindu Mendis – 100m

Sri Lanka registered their third T20 World Cup 200 plus score against Oman. The home team enjoyed a batting-friendly day, but it was Kamindu Mendis’ last-ball maximum which recorded a stunning 100m to take him to the third spot in this list.
Looking to end the innings on a high, Mendis pulled a shortish delivery over deep mid-wicket to boost his team’s total to 225.
Shivam Dube – 107m

Shivam Dube provided the defining release for India amidst a tricky phase, during the middle overs by smashing a colossal 107-metre six off left-arm spinner Bernard Scholtz in the India vs Namibia clash at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. With India momentarily stalled against spin, Dube stepped up and pulled a full delivery deep into the mid-wicket stands.
