The all-rounder was added to the India A squad for unofficial ODIs against Australia A, starting on October 6. These matches will be played at Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground, Puducherry, between October 6 and 11.

As reported by the Times of India on Friday, Hardik will be missing games for India A. The report suggests that the all-rounder experienced pain in his right shin and underwent the scans.
He has been asked to rest and will be under the supervision of the BCCI’s medical panel. The all-rounder is reportedly advised to avoid any physical activity for 12-15 days. That has raised questions about his inclusion for the India tour of New Zealand, starting on October 22.
It is a multi-format tour, where the two teams will face each other in five T20Is, five ODIs, and two Tests. The tour will begin with the five-match T20I series on October 22 in Christchurch. There are high chances that he won’t take part in the T20Is and might return for the ODI series starting on November 4.
With the ODI World Cup 2027 not far away, the BCCI doesn’t want to rush him. The board is likely to officially confirm his injury in coming days. Suryansh Shedge is likely to replace him, who represents Punjab Kings in the IPL. Shedge recently played three T20Is for India but failed to impress.
