IPL 2026: Full squad of SRH after mini-auction ft. Liam Livingstone, Abhishek Sharma
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) invested a lot in young uncapped Indian players in the IPL 2026 mini-auction.
Arriving at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction in Abu Dhabi, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had a total purse of INR 25.5 crore. The SRH had ten spots left, out of which two were overseas, ahead of the mini-auction. Unlike other teams, the 2016 champions decided to wait and keep an eye on the other teams.
As a result, they did not make any significant purchases in the initial rounds of the auction, despite being part of multiple bidding wars. They were also interested in signing Prashant Veer, but they decided to opt out of the race as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bought Veer at INR 14.20 crore in the end.
Pat Cummins, Eshan Malinga, Heinrich Klaasen, and Travis Head are expected to be SRH’s overseas combination for the matches; as a result, they invested less in signing overseas players in the first round.
However, they made their biggest purchase in the second round, when they went all in to sign English all-rounder Liam Livingstone for INR 14 crore. Apart from Livingstone, the SRH filled their second overseas spot as soon as they decided to buy Aussie all-rounder Jack Edwards.
