IPL 2026: Full squad of Gujarat Titans after mini-auction ft. Shubman Gill, Jason Holder

Gujarat Titans (GT) retained 20 players ahead of the IPL 2026 auction.

Gujarat Titans (GT) won their debut season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. But since then, they have been searching for their second title. Hardik Pandya left the team in 2024, and Shubman Gill took over the captaincy job. GT made it to the playoffs last season, and the franchises showed trust in their group.

GT retained a total of 20 players ahead of the IPL 2026 mega auction. Sherfane Rutherford was traded to Mumbai Indians (MI). Their released list included Dasun Shanaka, Mahipal Lomror, Gerald Coetzee, Karim Janat and Kulwant Khejroliya

That left GT with a remaining purse value of 12.90 crore. GT had the third lowest purse, but they came out with some good buys at the IPL 2026 auction. GT had their core group of players retained already, and with good work at the auction, they have strengthened their side. GT went into the auction to strengthen their middle-order and were successful in their plans.

Gujarat Titans raised their paddle on nine different players and were able to sign five of them. They went in for Indian all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer for INR 2.6 crore but failed to go further. Their first signing was uncapped Indian bowler Ashok Sharma.

The second and biggest purchase for GT at the IPL 2026 auction was West Indian all-rounder Jason Holder. The veteran all-rounder will make his IPL comeback for the first time since 2023. GT and CSK were keen to have him, and eventually, GT won the bidding war at a price of INR 7 crore.

Holder is a bankable T20 bowler and can tonk the ball big in the middle order. After him, GT tried to fight for Liam Livingstone, Ben Dwarshuis, and Jack Edwards. But with a little remaining purse value, they couldn’t go further.

Later, they made three signings at the acceleration round. GT signed England’s duo Tom Banton and Luke Wood and uncapped Indian bowler Prithvi Raj Yarra. GT spent INR 10.95 crore at the IPL 2026 auction and were left with 1.95 crore. They completed 25 signings with seven overseas picks.
