18. Mohit Sharma – ₹50 lakhs:

Kartik Tyagi was secured by GT at the IPL 2024 auction for 60 lakhs. Prior to joining GT, he represented Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. With 19 matches to his name, Tyagi has taken 15 wickets.

16. Vijay Shankar – ₹1.4 crores:

Vijay Shankar was acquired by GT for 1.4 crores at the IPL 2022 mega auction. Prior to joining GT, he had stints with Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Delhi Daredevils (now known as Delhi Capitals). With 65 matches under his belt and 1032 runs scored, GT retained him for the IPL 2024 at the same price of 1.4 crores.

15. Jayant Yadav – ₹1.7 crores:

Jayant Yadav was acquired by GT for 1.7 crores at the IPL 2022 mega auction. Prior to joining GT, he represented Delhi Daredevils (now known as Delhi Capitals) and Mumbai Indians. In his IPL career thus far, spanning 121 matches, Miller has amassed a total of 2714 runs. GT retained him for the IPL 2024 for the same amount of 3 crores.

R. Sai Kishore was acquired by GT for 3 crores at the IPL 2022 mega auction. Prior to joining GT, he was associated with Chennai Super Kings but did not get the chance to play. So far, he has appeared in only 5 matches, where he managed to take 6 wickets. GT retained him for the IPL 2024 for the same amount of 3 crores.

7. Joshua Little – ₹4.4 crores:

Joshua Little was acquired by GT for 4.4 crores at the IPL 2023 auction. Despite his limited appearances, having played only 10 matches, he has showcased his talent by securing 7 wickets. GT retained him for the IPL 2024, maintaining his contract at 4.4 crores.

6. Umesh Yadav – ₹5.8 crores:

Umesh Yadav was acquired by GT for 5.8 crores at the IPL 2024 auction. Before joining GT, he had stints with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore (now Royal Challengers Bengaluru), and Kolkata Knight Riders again. Shubman Gill was drafted by GT for a significant sum of 8 crores before to the IPL 2022 mega auction. Before joining GT, he showcased his talent with the Kolkata Knight Riders. Throughout his IPL journey, spanning 91 matches, Gill has been a prolific run-scorer, amassing 2790 runs including three centuries and eighteen half-centuries. His outstanding performance earned him the prestigious Orange Cap in the previous season. Gill has been appointed as the captain of GT. He got retained by the franchise for the same amount of 8 crores for the IPL 2024.

3. Rahul Tewatia – ₹9 crores:

Rahul Tewatia joined GT at the IPL 2022 mega auction for a substantial sum of 9 crores. Prior to his stint with GT, he played for multiple teams including Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Capitals, and a return to Rajasthan Royals.
