GT will face RCB in Qualifier 1 on Tuesday.

Gujarat Titans (GT) secured a place in the Indian Premier League 2026 playoffs after producing one of the most consistent performances in the league stage. Under Shubman Gill’s leadership, GT remained among the top teams throughout the season and qualified for the knockouts with ease.

Gujarat Titans built their campaign around a stable top order and a bowling attack that delivered regularly in crucial moments. Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler contributed significantly with the bat, while Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan played important roles with the ball.

Unlike several teams that experienced fluctuations in form during the season, GT maintained their position near the top of the table for most of the tournament. Their performances against the other three qualifying teams were particularly instrumental in them finishing in the top two and securing a spot in Qualifier 1.

GT’s match-by-match journey in IPL 2026

Gujarat Titans‘ qualification was built on consistency rather than a prolonged winning streak. After losing their first 2 games, they won 9 of their next 12 league games and remained in the top four most of the season.

Strong contributions from the top order, combined with regular wickets from Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan, helped GT secure a top-two finish and a place in Qualifier 1 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
