Major update on Hardik Pandya & Harshit Rana’s return for India
Hardik Pandya & Harshit Rana have been out of action for sometime now.
India defeated the West Indies 2-1 in the recently concluded three-match ODI home series. However, the Men in Blue competed the series without the likes of Hardik Pandya & Harshit Rana, who could have helped the India secure a complete whitewash.
Hardik Pandya played his last international match against New Zealand in March earlier this year in Ahmedabad. where he scored 18 runs and took one wicket. He later played for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, but he is yet to make his international return.
On the other side, Harshit Rana‘s last appearance came against England in Nottingham in July, where the Men in Blue suffered a one-sided defeat. However, Rana dismissed Jacob Bethell and Tom Banton while conceding 40 runs in four overs.
Since then, both Indian cricket stars have been on the sidelines, and fans have been waiting to see them back in action. In a recent report by Abhishek Tripathi of Dainik Jagran, the questions have been answered.

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has reportedly experienced discomfort in his right calf. Pandya became aware of the issue after he undertook a fitness assessment on September 19. MRI after the game revealed very mild intramedullary edema, which matches right medial tibial stress syndrome.
Thus, to prevent further complications, Hardik Pandya has been rested for some time. The 32-year-old will undergo bisphosphonate therapy and will take vitamin D supplementation for six to eight weeks. He will return from the sidelines after a rehab period, consisting of low-load exercises, eventually progressing to running, cricket-specific drills, and full match activities.
Meanwhile, Harshit Rana’s rehab and further treatment have been put on hold due to a sore throat and fever. He complained about a strain in his left quadriceps during a practice match for recovery on September 7. After tests were run, an MRI of both thighs revealed a low-grade strain.
Rana has been advised to limit his activity for the next three weeks. In the earlier plan, he was expected to start bowling this week; however, he currently has a fever, sore throat, and a cold. He will continue reading after fully recovering from the sickness.
