Hardik Pandya is the joint No.1 ranked all-rounder along with Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga.

Hardik Pandya, the star India player, has become the new No.1 ranked all-rounder in T20Is as per the latest ICC T20I rankings on July 3, 2024.

Hardik Pandya had a terrific performance in the recent T20 World Cup 2024, scoring valuable runs and taking critical wickets at crucial moments. His participation also allowed India to field three spinners during the Super 8s and final stages of the event.

Hardik’s effort was highlighted by Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller’s wickets on the last day, which turned the tide in India’s favor after South Africa had been cruising in their chase of 177.

He scored 144 runs and had a strike rate of 151.57 in six innings over eight games, including a half-century. He collected 11 wickets in eight matches, with his best figures being 3/20 in the final and an economy of just below 8.

Hardik jumped two places to take the top spot in the all-rounders’ rankings, and he is currently level with Sri Lanka’s T20I captain Wanindu Hasaranga on 222 rating points. However, Pandya leads by a fraction. Marcus Stoinis of Australia is third, while Sikandar Raza and Shakib Al Hasan round out the top five all-rounders in the current update.

Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah make big gains in ICC T20I bowling rankings

There was significant movement in the ICC T20I bowling rankings as well. India’s Kuldeep Yadav burst into the top 10 at the eighth spot after his terrific performance in the T20 World Cup 2024. He climbed up three places to joint eighth.

On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah, who won the Player of the Tournament for his 15 wickets has also done well. He has climbed up 12 spots to his highest position since the end of 2020. Bumrah is currently slotted at 12th position.

The joint-highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup, Arshdeep Singh of India, who finished with 17 scalps to his name has also neared the top 10 rankings. He has climbed four ranks to a career-high No.13. India’s one of the heroes in the tournament, Axar Patel, is their highest ranked bowler in T20Is positioned at seventh spot.
