The star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who turned 33 a few days ago, is still missing from cricketing action as he continues his rehabilitation programme.
India have a packed white-ball schedule, as they are currently playing the West Indies in a T20I series and will next tour New Zealand for an all-format series. Even though they are doing well, somehow they are still missing their premier all-rounder, Pandya.
Pandya can go hard down the order with the bat, while also taking important wickets as a right-arm medium-fast bowler. His inclusion will provide balance to the side, allowing them to play with an extra batter.
However, he is currently injured and completing his rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE). To speed up his rehabilitation, he also shifted his base to Bengaluru.
The selectors opted to rest him from international bilateral series but included him in the India A squad for the upcoming unofficial one-day fixtures against Australia A. However, he also missed that series due to a fresh right shin injury.
