Harmanpreet Kaur was furious over some poor umpiring by Bangladeshi officials in the match.

Due to her actions in the most recent third ODI match between India and Bangladesh women, played in Dhaka, Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian captain, has gotten herself into even more trouble.

A video of Harmanpreet Kaur criticizing the umpires for their poor performance in the match that finished in a stalemate and appearing to reprimand the Bangladesh team during the photo session has been making the rounds online.

According to sources, before the group photos, Harmanpreet Kaur was accused by Bangladeshi media of disrespecting Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana and the entire team.

As per a report in ESPNCricinfo, when the end-of-series photograph with both sets of players was being taken, Harmanpreet shouted "bring the umpires too", suggesting they were a part of the Bangladesh team.

“Why you are only here? You haven't tied the match. The umpires did it for you. Call them up! We better have photo with them as well,” Harmanpreet reportedly said.

This led to Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana talking to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials and took her team back to the dressing room.

I don't think she said anything towards the Bangladesh captain - Smriti Mandhana defends Harmanpreet Kaur

On the other hand, India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana defended Harmanpreet Kaur and said that she was caught in the heat of the moment as she couldn't accept the umpire's decision.

"I don't think (she said this). You have stated it. I don't think she said anything towards the Bangladesh captain. From whatever I heard, think talked a bit about umpiring. I don't think she said anything about them (the Bangladesh players).

We should not talk about things which did not happen during the match. In the post-match things were not on camera, that is something which happened after the post-match presentation, so let's not talk about it," she asserted.

Harmanpreet is reportedly set to be fined 75% of her match fees and also will have 4 demerit points added to her record.
