Harmanpreet Kaur and Shafali Verma make significant rise in latest ICC Women's T20I Rankings

Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the Indian team at the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024.

India women’s team opener Shafali Verma and captain Harmanpreet Kaur made significant rise in the latest ICC T20 batting rankings for women’s ahead of the upcoming Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024. This comes after their decent performances in the recently concluded three-match T20I series against South Africa women.

In the three-match T20I series against South Africa women, Harmanpreet scored 35 runs, whereas Shafali scored 45 runs.

India women’s captain Harmanpreet has moved up three places and now has 613 rating points, while opener Shafali jumped two places and now has 605 points. Harmanpreet is now at the 12th position, whereas youngster Shafali finds herself at the 15th spot in the latest ICC T20 batting rankings for women.

India star batter Smriti Mandhana is the only Women in Blue player in top 10 of the latest T20I rankings. Mandhana, who scored 100 runs in the three-match T20I series against South Africa, is slotted fifth in the latest rankings with 729 points.

Deepti Sharma at 3rd, Radha Yadav jumps to 15th in the latest ICC women’s T20I bowling rankings

In the latest women’s T20I bowling rankings, Indian bowler Deepti Sharma stayed firm at third position with 738 points to her name. Meanwhile, Radha Yadav moved eight spots to 15th, while Pooja Vastrakar climbed up six places to 23rd.

England spinner Sarah Glenn has claimed a new-career high rating of 768 points. She remained at the second position in the latest bowling rankings.
