Harmanpreet Kaur became first Indian Women’s captain to win the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Not many gave chances to India Women when they suffered three consecutive defeats in the league stage of ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. But, the way they picked it up from there and went on to win the championship was nothing less than a dramatic movie story.
Harmanpreet Kaur and her team became the first Indian and Asian side to lay their hands on the coveted ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup trophy and the whole of India celebrated the moment. They did it in front of the home crowd, which was icing on the cake.
Following India Women’s title triumph, the Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur has imprinted a tattoo on her biceps with the Women’s Cricket World Cup trophy with numbers 25 and 52, indicating the year and the margin of win in the final over South Africa. The 36-year-old shared the post on her official Instagram handle.

Moreover, Harmanpreet Kaur made her fifth appearance at a ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup and achieved success after a long wait.
