Shashank Singh suffered an injury scare in the DC vs PBKS match of IPL 2026.
Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are clashing in the Indian Premier League 2026 on Saturday, April 25. The afternoon game is taking place at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
DC captain Axar Patel won the toss and opted to bat first in the clash. They did not make any changes to their playing XI. Similarly, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer has retained the same team for the encounter.

Shashank was named in the PBKS playing XI, but he sustained an injury scare while fielding. It looked like he suffered a hamstring injury. He left the field and also met head coach Ricky Ponting in the dug-out. He had a chat with Ponting regarding his injury.
Shashank has played six games in IPL 2026. He got out for just 4 runs in the opening game against Gujarat Titans (GT). He has registered scores of 4, 14*, 16*, and 17 in the four innings he has batted so far. He has also clinched three wickets. In the previous game, he struggled with his fielding and dropped catches.
Meanwhile, DC came up with an outstanding batting show in the first innings of the match. They piled up a mammoth total of 264/2 in the encounter. Opener KL Rahul hammered an unbeaten 152 runs off 67 deliveries. This is the highest total in IPL 2026 so far.
Slamming 16 boundaries and nine sixes, PBKS bowlers were completely helpless against Rahul’s batting heroics. Arshdeep Singh and Xavier Bartlett took one wicket each, while the other bowlers remained wicketless.
