Hasin Jahan said that Mohammed Shami wants to ruin her life.

Indian Cricket Team pacer Mohammed Shami‘s estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, has once again levelled serious allegations against him. She said that Shami forced her to leave her profession after marriage and also wants to ruin her life.

Shami married former model Hasin Jahan in 2014. The couple had a daughter in 2015. However, Jahan filed for divorce in 2018 and accused Shami and his family of domestic violence. She also registered an FIR under multiple charges, including domestic violence, dowry harassment, and allegations of match-fixing.

While speaking to ANI, Shami’s wife alleged that Shami forced her to quit her career after marriage and become a housewife. She also added that Shami wants to ruin her life and cannot see the happiness of her daughter.

“I used to model and act before I got married. Shami forced me to quit my profession. He wanted me to live only a housewife’s life. I loved Shami so much that I happily accepted it. Now I have no earnings of my own. Shami has to bear all the responsibility for our maintenance. That is why we had to approach the court when he denied this,” she said.

“God has forgiven the biggest criminals. He cannot see the protection, future, and happiness of his daughter. He should also give up his stubbornness of wanting to ruin Hasin Jahan’s life. He cannot destroy me because I am on the path of justice while he is on the path of injustice,” Jahan further added.

On Tuesday, the Calcutta High Court directed Shami to pay Rs. 4 lakhs per month as maintenance to his wife and their daughter. In 2023, a sessions court had directed Shami to pay Rs. 50,000 to her wife and Rs. 80,000 to her daughter.

However, Jahan filed a case in the high court against the order. The Calcutta High Court revised the amount in its latest order, noting that Shami was capable of bearing the amount.

Meanwhile, Shami was last seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He is not part of the ongoing test series against the England due to fitness issues.
