Top 5 highest individual scores in T20I Asia Cup

Only three batsmen have scored centuries in T20I Asia Cup.
The first edition of the Asia Cup took place in 1984. The tournament is organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) every two years and witnesses a battle between the cricket giants of the Asian subcontinent.
Asia Cup tournaments are played in either ODI or T20 format. In 2016, the tournament was played in T20 format for the first time. Over the years, many batsmen have slammed brilliant knocks in the Asia Cup tournaments.
If we look highest individual knocks in the T20I Asia Cup, only three batsmen have scored centuries. Moreover, out of the top five highest scores, two were scored by Indians. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five highest individual scores in T20I Asia Cup.

5. Rohit Sharma – 83 vs Bangladesh, 2016
Rohit Sharma slammed an 83-run knock against Bangladesh during 2016 Asia Cup. Batting as an opener, Rohit slammed three sixes and seven fours to power India to 166/6 in the first innings. Later, India restricted Bangladesh to 121/7 in the second innings, winning the encounter by 45 runs.
4. Rahmanullah Gurbaz – 84 vs Sri Lanka, 2022

Afghanistan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz hammered an 84-run knock during Asia Cup 2022, which is the fourth-highest individual score in the T20I Asia Cup. He achieved the feat during the clash against Sri Lanka, where he slammed six sixes and four boundaries, hitting 84 runs off 45 deliveries. Afghanistan reached 175/6 in the first innings. However, Sri Lanka later chased down the target by four wickets.
3. Pathum Nissanka – 107 vs India, 2025
Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka became third batter to smash a hundred in the history of T20I Asia Cup, when he achieved the feat against India in 2025. During the last Super Four encounter of the tournament, Sri Lanka were given a huge task of chasing 203 runs, and they started off well as opener Pathum Nissanka smashed a sensational hundred.
Nissanka finished his innings at 107 off 58 deliveries, which included seven fours and six sixes. His innings helped Sri Lanka tie the game. However, they lost the super over later.
2. Babar Hayat – 122 vs Oman, 2016
During the qualifying round of Asia Cup 2016, Hong Kong batsman Babar Hayat slammed a 122-run knock against Oman. In the first innings, Oman piled up 180/5. Later, Babar hammered 122 runs off 60 balls, smacking seven sixes and nine fours. However, his amazing knock went in vain as Oman eventually won the game by five runs.
1. Virat Kohli – 122* vs Afghanistan, 2022

Virat Kohli steals the top spot on this list with his innings of an unbeaten 122. The innings came during Asia Cup 2022, where Kohli registered his first century in T20I cricket. During a clash against Afghanistan, he hammered his only T20I century in the innings, scoring an unbeaten 122 runs off 61 deliveries.
He took the team’s total to 212/2 in the first innings. Later, Afghanistan could only reach 111/8 in the second innings, losing the clash by a huge margin of 101 runs.
