Top 5 highest individual scores in WPL

The first season of WPL was played in 2023.
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) has emerged as one of the biggest women’s franchise cricket leagues in the world. Following in the footsteps of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), the WPL has provided an excellent platform for emerging Indian players to share the field with global icons.
Throughout its brief history, the tournament has witnessed several players take the league by storm with outstanding individual performances. The Indian wickets further aid batters in posting big scores.
On that note, let’s take a look at the top five highest individual scores in WPL.

5. Deepti Sharma – 88* vs Gujarat Giants, 2024, Delhi
Deepti Sharma starred for UP Warriorz against Gujarat Giants in WPL 2024 in Delhi.
Chasing 153 on a slow pitch, Deepti played an unbeaten knock of 88 runs off 60 balls, including nine fours and four sixes. Her innings helped the side recover from 35/5 and put up a fight till the end.
UP Warriorz ultimately lost the game by eight runs.
4. Tahlia McGrath – 90* vs Delhi Capitals, 2023, DY Patil Stadium
Known for her consistency in the T20 format, Tahlia McGrath fought alone for UP Warriorz against Delhi Capitals in the league stage game of WPL 2023 in DY Patil Stadium.
Chasing 212 runs, UP Warriorz lost wickets at regular intervals, but McGrath held on to one end of the crease, scoring an unbeaten 90 off 50 balls, which included 11 fours and four sixes.
Due to a lack of support from the other end, UP Warriorz ultimately lost the game by 42 runs.
3. Harmanpreet Kaur – 95* vs Gujarat Giants, 2024, Delhi
Harmanpreet Kaur was at her best during the league stage match of WPL 2024 featuring Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants in Delhi.
Chasing a challenging target of 191 runs, the MI skipper led the team with an unbeaten 95 off 48 balls, including 10 fours and five sixes.
Harmanpreet added 93 runs with Amelia Kerr to seal the game by seven wickets.
2. Alyssa Healy – 96* vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru, 2023, Brabourne
Legendary Australia wicket-keeper batter Alyssa Healy slammed an unbeaten 96 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Brabourne in 2023.
Healy’s explosive innings came off just 47 balls and it featured 18 fours and a six. She joined forces with Devika Vaidya (36*) to add unbeaten 139 runs to guide the team to a comfortable 10-wicket win
She was named Player of the Match for her efforts.
1. Sophie Devine – 99 vs Gujarat Giants, 2023, Brabourne
Sophie Devine holds the record for the highest individual score in WPL for her 99-run knock in Brabourne against Gujarat Giants in 2023.
What makes this innings special is that it came while chasing a big target of 189 runs. Opening the innings, Devine smashed 99 runs off just 36 balls, including nine fours and eight sixes. She added 125 runs with Smriti Mandhana to set up the game for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
RCB won the match by eight wickets.
