PBKS and RR clashed in Mullanpur in the 40th match of IPL 2026. PBKS piled up a gigantic total of 222/4 in the first innings with half-centuries by Priyansh Arya (59) and Marcus Stoinis (62*).
While PBKS expected it to be a respectable total, it was not enough for victory. RR openers Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (43) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (51) etched a stand of 51 runs in just 3.2 overs. Donovan Ferreira (52) and Shubman Dubey (31) scored crucial knocks towards the end to drive the team to victory by six wickets with four balls to spare.
Notably, the Shreyas Iyer & Co. were unbeaten ahead of this game but suffered their first defeat of the season.
