Top 5 highest team totals in ICC Women's T20 World Cup history
Only one team has recorded a total of over 200 in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup history.
While the men’s white-ball game has gone through a significant transition over the past decade-and-a-half, the women’s game has grown at a slow pace. That is reflected in the fact that scores of 130 are still defendable in women’s T20 cricket.
The inaugural season of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup was played in 2009. Australia remain the most successful team in this competition’s history, having bagged a spate of titles.
These days, teams have put more focus on power-hitting. This has meant that even some players with high class and correct technique have missed out on spots to younger batters who have the ability to clear the fence much more frequently.
Producing big totals is now on the agenda of coaches and captains in women’s cricket as well.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup has also recorded some of the biggest totals in WT20Is. In this article, we will talk about the top five highest totals in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
