Sanju’s recent form with the bat in T20 cricket
The right-hander was the Player of the Tournament in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 for his memorable knocks of 97* (50), 89 (42), and 89 (46) in the last three matches of the campaign.
Shortly after, he played his maiden IPL season with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He was traded to CSK from Rajasthan Royals in exchange for Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran.

He managed to score just 5 runs in the two matches against Ireland, including one match where he was dismissed without scoring a single run. Samson was dismissed for 1 run in the opening match of the T20I series against England as well.
