The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will kickstart from June 12.
England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) are all set to host the biggest edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup, starting from June 12. This is the first time 12 teams would be contesting in the tournament.
The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will see a total of 33 matches to be played over a month. The matches will be played across seven venues in Lord’s (London), The Oval (London), Edgbaston (Birmingham), Old Trafford (Manchester), Headingley(Leeds), Bristol County Ground (Bristol), and the Hampshire Bowl (Southampton). The Final will be played at the Lord’s on July 5.
Netherlands are scripting history this year as they will be making their debut in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Although, New Zealand was the winner in 2024, teams like South Africa, India, England and Australia have emerged as the strong favourites in the tournament.
The ICC had organised Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 captains’ carnival earlier this week, where the official captains’ photoshoot and other fan events took place.
India are led by the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 winning captain Harmanpreet Kaur, and the Women in Blue play their first match against Pakistan on June 14. India are placed in the same Group as Australia, Pakistan, Netherlands, Bangladesh and South Africa.
England and Sri Lanka are set to play the opening game of the tournament on June 12, at 11:00 PM (IST). This contest will be played at Edgbaston in Birmingham, and both the teams would be eager to start the tournament on a high.

On the TV, the Star Sports Network will be broadcasting the tournament. The cable operators offer top-up recharge at just 19 Rupees for the Star Sports network.
The Women in Blue will be in action on 14th, 17th, 21st, 25th, and 28th June in the league stage. All of India’s league matches are scheduled for 7:00 PM (IST).
