Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir had a fight in Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore game in Lucknow.

Lucknow Super Giants are taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi international cricket stadium in Hyderabad. The 1st May incident has become a trend of the IPL 2023. On that day, two of Indian cricket's biggest superstars, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, were at loggerheads with each other. They both fought with each other after the game. Since then they have become a topic of debate, social media trolls and for the fans in the stadium. Now in Hyderabad, a few fans in the stands were teasing Gautam Gambhir with Virat’s name.

Hyderabad crowd chant 'Kohli... Kohli' in front of Gambhir

In between the clash of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants, a few fans in the stands teased Gautam Gambhir by chanting ‘Kohli… Kohli…’ when Gambhir was walking towards the Lucknow dugout. Both Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were fined 100% of their match fees after the fight on 1st May. Virat and Gambhir also played their duels 10 years ago in 2013 when they were leading their respective teams. In a clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore, they both had a tussle against each other and hurled abuses.

Nobody apart liked the behavior of these two legends on the ground. It all seemed like a battle of egos between them and looked naïve from both ends. It started when Virat gave a send-off and abused Kyle Mayers after he was out, then Virat had an altercation with Lucknow’s pace bowler Naveen ul Haq, and later on when the game ended, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were taking on each other. Naveen ul Haq was also fined 50% of his match fees.
