ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Most runs, most wickets after final, IND vs NZ

India defeated New Zealand by four wickets to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
On Sunday, March 9, India defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
India have now become the most successful team in tournament history, with three Champions Trophy titles (2002, 2013, and 2025) surpassing Australia’s two.
After being asked to bowl first, the Indian spinners bowled with great discipline to restrict New Zealand for 251. Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav starred for the Men in Blue with two wickets each, while Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami picked up a wicket each.
Daryl Mitchell (63) and Michael Bracewell (53) were the top scorers for the Kiwis with their half-centuries. The Blackcaps struggled to rotate the strike in the middle overs and lost wickets at regular intervals.
In reply, India got off to a fantastic start, reaching the 100-run mark in the 18th over. Rohit Sharma took the attack to the New Zealand fast bowlers with the new ball and top-scored with 76.
The Men in Blue then suffered a minor collapse, slipping to 122/3 in 26 overs. Shreyas Iyer (48) and Axar Patel (29) stabilized the Indian innings with a 61-run stand for the fourth wicket.
KL Rahul (34) and Hardik Pandya (18) combined for 38 runs for the sixth wicket to guide the team to a five-wicket win.
ICC Champions Trophy: Most runs
New Zealand youngster Rachin Ravindra finished as the top run-scorer of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with 263 runs, followed by India’s Shreyas Iyer, who scored 243 runs.
England batsmen Ben Duckett and Joe Root occupy the third and fourth spots with 227 and 225 runs respectively. Virat Kohli completes the list of top five run-scorers of the tournament with 217 runs.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Most wickets
Despite missing the final, New Zealand speedster Matt Henry finished the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as the leading wicket-taker with 10 wickets. India’s Varun Chakaravarthy and Mohammed Shami claimed the second and third spots with nine wickets each.
New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell took the fourth and fifth spots with nine wickets each.
