ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Most runs, most wickets after match 5, IND vs PAK

India defeated Pakistan by six wickets in the fifth match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

On Sunday, February 23, India defeated Pakistan by six wickets in Dubai, strengthening their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals of the competition.

Batting first, Pakistan were led by Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan, who added 104 runs for the third wicket. However, the Green Team lost momentum after Rizwan’s dismissal, collapsing and completing their innings at 241 runs. Shakeel top-scored with 62 off 76 balls, while Kuldeep starred for India with figures of 3/40 in nine overs.

In reply, despite losing Rohit Sharma early, India were guided by Virat Kohli, who scored his 51st ODI ton. He was well supported by Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer, who contributed 46 and 56 runs respectively.

This defeat has severely affected Pakistan’s chances of securing a semi-final spot. They must win their game against Bangladesh and rely on other results to advance to the next round.

Ben Duckett leads the run-scorers’ chart with 165 runs in the series. Shubman Gill’s 46-run knock against Pakistan has propelled him to the second spot with 147 runs.

Kohli’s match-winning century places him in the third spot with 122 runs in the tournament. Josh Inglis and Tom Latham complete the list with 120 and 118 runs respectively.

South African speedster Kagiso holds the third spot with three wickets. William O’Rourke and Ben Dwarshuis complete the list with three wickets each.
