ICC Champions Trophy 2025: South Africa full schedule, fixtures, venues, dates and timings

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be the ninth edition of the prestigious event, starting on February 19, 2025.

The much-awaited announcement has been made, and the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday, 24th December, 2024, released the schedule of the ICC Champions Trophy (CT) 2025. The mega event will feature the top eight ODI teams, who will compete against each other in a round-robin format followed by a knockout stage.

The tournament is scheduled to start on February 19, 2025, and it will be played in a hybrid model where India will play their matches in Dubai. There will be two groups with four teams each.

Two top teams from both groups will make it to the semi-finals. South Africa will be one of the teams to feature. They won the inaugural edition and have been looking to win an ICC event for more than two decades now. 

Group A – India, Bangladesh, New Zealand and Pakistan 

Group B – England, Australia, South Africa and Afghanistan 

South Africa’s full schedule for ICC Champions Trophy 2025:

The inaugural season winners are placed in Group B along with top teams like England, Australia, and Afghanistan. This is the group of death, and all four teams are capable of qualifying for the semis. The Proteas will begin their campaign on February 21 when they will face Afghanistan at the National Stadium in Karachi.

The second game for South Africa will be up against Australia on February 25 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. This will be an important game as Australia will be one of the favourites in the tournament. The last group game for South Africa will be on March 1 against England at the National Cricket Stadium Karachi.

February 21: South Africa vs Afghanistan

March 1: South Africa vs England

In which venues will South Africa play their matches at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025?

South Africa will play two matches in Karachi, and one game will be in Rawalpindi. If they qualify for the semis and India will be their opponent, then they will play in Dubai.

February 25: South Africa vs Australia , Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi

March 1: South Africa vs England, National Stadium, Karachi

All the matches for South Africa in the group stage have a scheduled time of 1:30 PM IST and 2:00 PM PKT. As per South African time, the games will start at 10 AM.
