Pakistan defeated Netherlands in their ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 opener by 81 runs.

In the second game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Pakistan faced off against Netherlands in a thrilling encounter at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on October 6th . Pakistan posted a total of 286 runs in their innings, Pakistan did loose quick wickets in succession and Netherland bowlers put pressure on Pakistan batters. Thanks to valuable partnership from Mohammed Rizwan (68) and Saud Shakeel (68), Pakistan skipper Babar Azam had a bad day as he went early.

Netherlands faced the tough task of chasing down 287 runs to win. However, Pakistani bowlers were in fine form. Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali put on a remarkable bowling display, picking up three and two wickets each. They bowled with precision and dismantled Netherlands' batting line-up. Netherlands ended with a score of 205 loosing all their wickets.
