New Zealand defeated Netherlands by 99 runs in match 6 of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

The second week of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 has begun, with all ten teams gearing up for their upcoming matches. New Zealand faced Netherlands in their second game and secured a convincing victory by 99 runs. After winning the toss, Netherlands choose to bowl first. New Zealand posted a total of 322 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs. Will Young top-scored with 70 runs followed by Tom Latham who scored 53 runs and Rachin Ravindra too scored a fifty.

Dutch bowlers struggled to contain Kiwi batsmen. Aryan Dutt picked up two wickets for Netherlands, with figures of 2/62 in his 10 overs. Paul van Meekeren and Roelof van der Merwe also took two wickets

Coming out to bat second, Netherlands were bundled out for a score of 223 in 46.3 overs while chasing New Zealand's target. Vikramjit Singh made 12 runs, Max O'Dowd 16, and Colin Ackermann played a notable innings of 69. Mitchell Santner was the best bowler for New Zealand picking five crucial wickets. Despite Netherlands effort they fell short of the target.

With second week of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 starting all ten teams have now played one game each. New Zealand after thrilling win in tournament opener have registered yet another win and added two more points under their name. They are on top of the table four points and NRR of +1.958. South Africa are at the 2nd position in the table. Pakistan will play their second game against Sri Lanka on 10th October and find themselves at the third position and Bangladesh who also will play their second game tomorrow are at fourth position. India after a win over Australia find themselves at the fifth position. Afghanistan are at the seventh position.

Netherlands after their consecutive losses are at the 8th position of the table with a NRR of -1.800. Followed on by Sri Lanka and England.

After the sixth match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 there is still no change in most runs list. New Zealand's opener Devon Conway scored 32 runs in the match against Netherlands and is is still number one with 184 runs.

Rachin Ravindra also holds onto his second position in the table with 174 runs. While Ravindra scored a valuable 51, already scoring a century in first match and a fifty in the second. South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen is still at 3rd position in the table after his 108-run knock. Aiden Markram is fourth who too scorea a century. Wicket-keeper batter Quinton de Kock is 5th in this list who also scored a century in the first match of South Africa in this World Cup.

New Zealand's Mitchell Santner had a great day with the ball he picked five crucial wickets insuring he gives his team a win in their second game of the tournament and is now on the position with 7 wickets under his name. His figures were 5/59 in his 10 overs. New Zealand's Matt Henry managed to take 3 wickets and is second on the list with 6 wickets, he ended with figures of 3/40. Netherlands all-rounder Bas De Leede was successful to take one wicket in his second match of the tournament and finds himself at the third position of leading wicket-takers. His figures were 1/64.

Bangladesh's Mehidy Hasan Miraz and India's Ravindra Jadeja occupy fourth and fifth spots with 3 wickets each with a better economy among other bowlers who have taken three wickets each in this tournament.
