ICC T20 World Cup 2024: List of all venues

ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be hosted at six venues across the Caribbean islands and three in the USA.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be hosted by the United States of America and West Indies from June 1 to June 29, with 20 teams participating, including India. This huge ICC event will feature 55 matches spread over 30 days, culminating in the final on June 29.
Each of the 20 teams will play four Group matches. The top two from each of the four groups will advance to the Super-8 phase, which will split the eight teams into two groups. The top two teams from each group will proceed to the knockout stage. The semi-finals will take place on June 27, followed by the summit clash in Barbados on June 29.
There will be a reserve day for the second semi-final as well as the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 tournament. Reserve days will take place one day after the scheduled match date.
In this piece, we will take a look at the venues where the matches of the T20 World Cup will be played. This will be the first time the USA will host an ICC event in its sporting history and has three venues on offer.
Full list of stadiums that will host T20 World Cup 2024 matches:
1. Kensington Oval, Barbados (Capacity: 28,000)

The Kensington Oval stadium is located in the western portion of Bridgetown, Barbados. The inaugural test match took place in January 1930, between the West Indies and England. The first ODI was played in 1985 between the West Indies and New Zealand, whereas the first T20I was played in 2008 between England and Australia.
The stadium also hosted the final of the 2007 World Cup between Australia and Sri Lanka, which was notorious for being completed in near darkness.
The venue will host the first round of matches for Group B including England, Australia Namibia, Scotland, and Oman. The Kensington Oval will also host the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 29.
2. Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad (Capacity: 15,000)

Named after one of the greatest batters of all time, Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago is one of the newest venues in the West Indies. It was completed in 2017 and hosted its only ODI and first T20I in 2023 with West Indies playing India.
The Brian Lara Cricket Academy has also hosted the finals of the CPL in 2017 and 2018-2020.
The stadium with seating capacity of 15,000 will host four games of Group C matches featuring New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea, and Uganda. It will also host the first semi-final on June 26.
3. Providence Stadium, Guyana (Capacity: 20,000)

The Providence Stadium is the national cricket stadium of Guyana and hosted the Super Eight matches in the 2007 Cricket World Cup. It was at this venue where Lasith Malinga picked four wickets in four balls in a match between Sri Lanka and South Africa in the World Cup, becoming the first bowler to do so in international cricket.
Coming to the Providence stadium, the 20,000-seater stadium will host four games of Group C matches featuring New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea, and Uganda. It will also be the venue for the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 27.
4. Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua (Capacity: 10,000)

Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Saint George, Antigua and Barbuda caters to 10,000 spectators. It had its capacity doubled with temporary seating for ICC World Cup 2007.
In the T20 World Cup 2024, Sir Vivian Richards Stadium will host four matches of Group B featuring England, Australia, Oman, Scotland, and Namibia. The stadium will also play host to four of the Super 8 matches on June 19, 20, 22 and 23.
5. Arnos Vale Stadium, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Kingston (Capacity: 18,000)
The Arnos Vale Stadium is a cricket ground in Arnos Vale, near Kingstown, St. Vincent. The stadium holds the capacity to accommodate 18,000 people and is mostly used for football and cricket matches. It held its first test in 1997 between West Indies and Sri Lanka, while its first ODI was in 1981 between West Indies and England. The first T20I played at the venue was in 2013 between West Indies and Pakistan.
In the T20 World Cup 2024, the Arnos Vale Stadium will host three matches of Group D featuring South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and the Netherlands. It will also host two matches of the Super 8 stage on June 22 and 24.
6. Daren Sammy Cricket Ground, St. Lucia (Capacity: 15,000)

The final stadium to host T20 World Cup 2024 matches in the Caribbean islands will be the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in Gros Islet, Saint Lucia. It was completed in 2002 and currently accommodates 13,000 spectators and was previously known as the Beausejour Cricket Ground. The first international match played at the renamed ground took place on 9 August 2016, when India played the West Indies as part of a four-match test series.
In the T20 World Cup 2024. The Daren Sammy Cricket Ground will host three group-stage matches on June 15, 16 and 17. It will also host three Super 8 matches on June 19, 21 and 24.
7. Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York (Capacity: 34,000)

The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium is built on the grounds of Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York, in Nassau County on Long Island. The modular stadium can hold 34,000 thousand spectators.
The outfield employs Kentucky bluegrass, and the drop-in pitch uses Tahoma bermudagrass surfaces created in Florida by LTG Sports Turf One, in cooperation with the Adelaide Oval’s head groundskeeper Damian Hough.
The venue will host the important matches of Group A in the T20 World Cup 2024 including the big match of India v Pakistan on June 9. It will host the majority of Group A matches featuring India, Pakistan, Canada, USA, and Ireland, apart from South Africa and Bangladesh matches.
8. Central Broward Park, Florida (Capacity: 25,000)

Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, in Lauderhill, Florida is the most well-known and famous cricket grounds in USA. The stadium was the first U.S. cricket pitch to receive certification by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and hosted its first T20I in 2010.
The venue, which seats 25,000, will host four games of T20 World Cup 2024. It will feature matches such as Sri Lanka v Nepal, India v Canada, USA v Ireland, and Pakistan v Ireland. India has experience playing three T20Is at this venue and winning two of those matches.
9. Grand Prairie Stadium, Texas (Capacity: 15,000)

Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas can seat 15,000 people and was the home ground for Texas Super Kings in the domestic Twenty20 league Major League Cricket. It was converted from a baseball ground to a cricket stadium in 2020. The stadium is slated to host matches during the group stage of the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup, including the opening match between the United States and Canada.
Apart from this, the Grand Prairie Stadium will also host the Netherlands v Nepal, USA v Pakistan, and Bangladesh v Sri Lanka matches of the T20 World Cup 2024.
