ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Namibia squad, schedule, timings, venues and all you need to know

Namibia will play defending champions England on June 15.

Namibia announced their 15-man squad for the much-awaited ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on May 10. The upcoming prestigious tournament will be jointly hosted by the West Indies and the USA in June.

The selection committee has named star all-rounder Gerhard Erasmus as Namibia’s skipper for the upcoming ICC event. Pikky Ya France and youngster Shawn Fouche have been ignored for the 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2024.

The shocking exclusion by the selection committee was of all-rounder Nicol Loftie-Eaton. The young batter smashed the fastest T20I century in just 33 balls against Nepal in February 2024. According to ESPNcricinfo, Loftie-Eaton has been excluded due to disciplinary reasons.

The pace bowling attack includes Dylan Leicher, left-arm seamer Ruben Trumpelmann and Jack Brassell in the upcoming global tournament.

Namibia full schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2024:

The Gerhard Erasmus-led side are placed in Group B along with defending champions England, Australia, Oman and Scotland.

They will kickoff their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against Oman on June 3. They will then face Scotland on June 6. Their remaining two group matches are against Australia and England, to be played on June 11 and 15 respectively.

• June 3: vs Oman
• June 6: vs Scotland
• June 12: vs Australia
• June 15: vs England

The Super Eight matches will be played from June 19 to 25.

At which venues will Namibia play their group stage matches in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024?

The Erasmus-led side will play their first two matches against Oman and Scotland at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown in Barbados. The Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua will host Namibia’s clashes against Australia and England.

• June 6: vs Scotland, Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados
• June 12: vs Australia, Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua

What are the timings of Namibia’s matches in the T20 World Cup 2024?

The first group match against Oman will get underway at 6:00 AM IST / 12:30 AM GMT (June 3) / 8:30 PM local time (June 2). Their second match against Scotland will be played at 12:30 AM IST / 07:00 AM GMT (June 7) / 03:00 PM local time (June 6).

The Nambia vs Australia clash is scheduled at 6:00 AM IST / 12:30 AM GMT (June 12) / 8:30 PM local time (June 11). Their final league match against defending champions England will kickoff at 10:30 PM IST / 05:00 PM GMT / 01:00 PM local time on June 15.
