New Zealand are placed in Group C along with co-hosts West Indies in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

On 29th April, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) named their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament will be jointly hosted by the West Indies and the USA in June.

The Black Caps have picked an experienced squad with Kane Williamson to lead them once again at a global event. This might be the last time we will see the fast-bowling pair of Tim Southee and Trent Boult together in a T20 World Cup.

Surprisingly, the selection committee didn’t include Tim Seifert and Will Young, a duo that has been in decent form in white-ball cricket.

Pacers Kyle Jamieson and Adam Milne are sidelined due to injuries and hence, they were not available for selection.

Youngster Rachin Ravindra, who was impressive with the bat during the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, has also been named in the squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. At the 2022 T20 World Cup, the Black Caps exited in the semi-finals, where they lost to Pakistan.
