ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Super 8 Points table, most runs & most wickets after match 52, AFG vs BAN

Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 8 runs to seal their place in the semi-finals of ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
In what could be hailed as the greatest day in Afghanistan’s cricket history, they have managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 after sealing an 8-run victory over Bangladesh (DLS method) in a rain-affected match in St Vincent.
This will be the first appearance for Afghanistan in knockouts of a major ICC tournament. In the Super 8 round, the Rashid Khan-led unit upstaged Australia and then Bangladesh to enter the semis.
On a slow pitch at the Arnos Vale Ground, Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 43 helped Afghanistan post 115. Liton Das led Bangladesh’s chase with a half-century, however, he couldn’t get much support from the other end; no other Bangladeshi batter scored more than 15 runs. Rashid and Naveen-ul-Haq both took four wickets each and bundled Bangladesh for 105 after their target was revised to 114 due to rain.
