ICC T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up matches: Schedule, timings and all you need to know

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up matches will be played from May 27 to June 1.
After the conclusion of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the cricket action now shifts to the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which will be played in the USA and West Indies in June. Before the main tournament, most teams will play warm-up fixtures; 16 out of the 20 participating teams will be involved in at least one warm-up game.
For the first time in history, a men’s T20 World Cup will be contested between 20 teams. They are divided into four groups of five teams each.
The top two teams from each group will proceed to the Super 8 stage. The eight teams will then divided into two groups of four each. The Super 8 round will run from June 19 to June 25.
The top two teams in both Super 8 groups will advance to the semi-finals, and the semi-final winners will meet in the title match on June 29.
How many teams are playing warm-up fixtures in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024?
16 out of 20 teams will feature in at least one warm-up match. Several teams will play two warm-up fixtures before the main competition begins.
New Zealand, England, South Africa, and Pakistan have decided to skip warm-up matches and they will directly play in the main tournament. In an interesting turn of events, South Africa have opted to play an intra-squad match. Meanwhile, India will play only one warm-up game.

How to watch ICC T20 World Cup 2024 warm up matches?
The majority of the warm-up fixtures will not be telecasted or live streamed. However, the India vs Bangladesh match on June 1 will be aired live on the Star Sports Network on television. Disney+Hotstar will be live streaming the game for digital users in India.
The warm-up match between Australia and the West Indies might be telecasted.
