ICC announces record-breaking prize money for ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 will begin on 30th September.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday (1st September) announced the prize money for ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. The tournament is all set to begin on 30th September and will be played in India and Sri Lanka.
The ICC has announced the record-breaking prize money, which is 297% more than it was in the last edition, for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. The total money allotted for the tournament is $13.88 million (US Dollars), while it was just $3.5 million in the last edition held in New Zealand in 2022.
The winners of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 will be getting a prize money of $4.48 million, which is 239% more than it was in the 2022 edition. Australia, which won the last tournament, got $1.32 million in 2022.
There is also a prize money of $2.24 million for the runner-ups. The last time, the team finishing second got $600,000, meaning that there is an increase of 273% this time around. Also, the losing teams in the semi-finals will get $1.12 million (up from $300,000 in 2022).
The group stage participant of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 will get $250,000. However, for each win, there is a prize money of $34,314. The teams finishing in fifth and sixth will take home $700,000 each, while seventh and eighth place will earn $280,000.
