ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024: List of all award winners & prize money

New Zealand won the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 defeating South Africa in the final.
South Africa women’s cricket team faced off against New Zealand women’s cricket team in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. New Zealand finally ended their wait of winning a Cricket World Cup as they defeated the Proteas Women by 32 runs in the final.
The Proteas won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Black Caps scored 158 runs in their 20 overs for the loss of five wickets. Suzie Bates scored 32 runs off 31 balls, Amelia Kerr scored 43 runs off 38 balls, Brooke Halliday scored 38 runs off 28 balls. For South Africa, Ayabonga Khaka scalped one wicket, Chloe Tryon picked up a wicket, Nonkululeko Mlaba scalped two wickets, and Nadine de Klerk scalped one wicket.
In reply, the Proteas were restricted to 128 runs in their 20 overs. Captain Laura Wolvaardt was the top scorer of the innings with 33 runs off 27 balls. For the Kiwis, Rosemary Mair and Amelia Kerr picked three wickets apiece, while Eden Carson, Fran Jonas and Brooke Halliday contributed with one wicket each.
It has been a sensational night for the Kiwis with spectacular all-round displays. They will celebrate deep into the night for what has been a tremendous tournament for them. The Proteas, on the other hand, suffered yet another heartbreak after losing the mean’s T20 World Cup 2024 final earlier to Team India.
Amelia Kerr of New Zealand, who ended up as the highest wicket-taker of the tournament, won Player of the Match award in the final as well as Player of the Tournament award. The South African captain Laura Wolvaardt finished as highest run-scorer in the tournament.
