The ICC WTC 2023-25 final is scheduled to be played at the Lord’s in June next year.
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 continues to remain level at 1-1 after the third test in Brisbane as the match ended in a draw.
The test match was inevitably heading towards a draw once India avoided the follow-on late on day 4. Some excitement sparked on day 5 as Australia declared their second innings at 89/7, setting a target of 275 runs for India with 54 overs left in the match.
However, only 2.1 overs were possible as rain arrived once again, causing the last of the several breaks this game has endured.
With the Gabba test ending in a draw, both teams earned four ICC World Test Championship (WTC) points, which brought down their PCT a bit.

India’s road to the ICC WTC 2023-25 final has become even more difficult with this draw. India and Australia retained their positions in the third and second places respectively.
India now have PCT of 55.88% and two tests left, both of which they need to win to secure a place in the final next year. Australia’s PCT is 58.89. After two tests against India, they have two more tests in Sri Lanka.
South Africa have one foot in the final already with PCT of 63.33 and need to win one out of their two tests against Pakistan to reach their maiden ICC WTC final.
New Zealand and Sri Lanka occupy the fourth and fifth positions in the ICC WTC 2023-25 points table with PCT of 48.21% and 45.45%. England, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and West Indies follow them. All these six teams are eliminated from the race to the ICC WTC 2023-25 final.
