India registered their sixth win in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle.

India have outclassed England by an innings an 64 runs in the fifth and final test of Anthony De Mello Trophy. India have won the five match test series against England by 4-1 and placed solidified their position at top of the ICC WTC 2023-25 points table. England batters struggled against Indian bowling attack throughout the series. Ravi Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav bowled magical spells to lead India towards a dominating win in Dharamsala.

Talking about the match, England skipper Ben Stokes won the toss and elected to bat first in Dharamsala. Despite a decent opening partnership, England succumbed under pressure and were bowled out for 218. India bounced back nicely with centuries from Rohit Sharma (103) and Shubman Gill (110) and took a massive lead of 259 runs in the first innings. India later bowled out England for just 195 in the second innings and won the game by an innings and 64 runs.

After a dominant win at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, India have solidified their position at top of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table. India are currently placed at the top spot with PCT of 68.51 in nine games. India have won 74 overall points out of 108 contested with six wins and a draw. India will play three more series in the ongoing cycle.

With a defeat in the fifth test, England have shrunk further in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table. With only three wins out of 10 games, England are currently placed eighth in the points table with PCT of 17.50. England currently have 21 points out of 120 contested so far. They lost 19 points in slow over-rate penalties.

New Zealand are currently placed second in the points table with PCT of 60 PCT. They are struggling against Australia in the ongoing Trans-Tasman Trophy. Australia are third in the table with PCT of 59.09. Bangladesh are at fourth spot with PCT of 50, while Pakistan are at fifth spot with PCT of 36.66. West Indies are at sixth spot with PCT of 33.33. South Africa, who won their only game against India in the ongoing cycle, are at seventh position in the table with PCT of 25. Sri Lanka are yet to open their account in the ongoing ICC WTC cycle.
