ICC World Test Championship 2025-27: Updated points table after 3rd test, AUS vs ENG

Australia defeated England in the third test of The Ashes 2025-26 to retain their top spot in ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 points table.
Australian Cricket Team crushed England Cricket Team in the third test of The Ashes 2025-26 by 82 runs. With the victory, they have retained their peak position in the ICC World Test Championship (WCT) 2025-27 points table.
After winning the first two games by eight wickets each, the hosts showcased their dominance in the third game too. After opting to bat first, Australia piled up 371/10 in the first innings, with a century by Alex Carey (106).
While England did a wonderful job with the ball on account of a five-wicket haul by Jofra Archer, they could not match their performance while batting. With half-centuries by Ben Stokes (83) and Jofra Archer (51), the visitors were bowled out for just 286 runs, trailing by 85 runs after the end of the first innings.
Opener Travis Head (170) hammered a marvellous century in the second innings, driving Australia to 349/10. Alex Carey hammered 72 runs as they set up a mammoth target of 435 runs for the Ben Stokes & Co.
England fought hard but could only reach 352 runs before all of their wickets fell. Opener Zak Crawley gave a wonderful start with his 85 runs but middle-order batters failed to support him. In the end, Jamie Smith (60), Will Jacks (47), and Brydon Carse (39*) made crucial contributions with the bat; however, they failed to take the team home.

Australia defeated England in the third test of The Ashes 2025-26 to retain their top spot in ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 points table. Following the victory, Australia are unbeaten in ICC WTC 2025-27, winning six games in a row. With a win percentage (PCT) of 100.0, they grab the top spot in the points table, followed by South Africa in second place with a PCT of 75.0.
New Zealand and Sri Lanka capture the third and fourth places respectively, with both of them having a PCT of 66.67. Pakistan and India are next in the fifth and sixth spots. England, after losing the first three games against Australia, languish at the seventh place (PCT- 27.08). Bangladesh and West Indies take the bottom two positions and are yet to win a single game in ICC WTC 2025-27.
