However, according to a recent report, the first T20I scheduled for September 13 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi is facing security-related concerns. These concerns stem from the BRICS Summit in the capital city, prompting the organisers to consider rescheduling the game.
According to reports, the Delhi Police has requested that the India-Afghanistan T20I be rescheduled because it could be difficult to provide adequate security for both the cricket match and the BRICS Summit simultaneously.
The police have reportedly raised concerns over the logistical challenges as an international cricket event clashing with a major international summit will be problematic for the Delhi police to deal at the same time. This might compromise the security of both the events.
One possibility being discussed is moving the first T20I by a day. However, no final decision has been officially announced yet, meaning the September 13 fixture remains the scheduled date for now.
