India are set to lock horns with Afghanistan (IND vs AFG) in a Test match. The one-off test will take place from June 6 to 10 at MYS International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.

This is the second time India and Afghanistan will face each other in a Test match. The previous game took place in 2018, which India won within two days. After the Test series, both sides will also play three ODI games.

Shubman Gill is all set to captain India in the one-off Test. He missed the previous Test series against South Africa due to a neck injury. He was injured in the opening game while batting.

The series will also witness KL Rahul as the new vice-captain of the Indian Test Team. He has replaced Rishabh Pant as Gill’s deputy in the longest format. Notably, India have picked a few net bowlers for the one-off test against Afghanistan.
