In the second semi-final, Australia went past South Africa to enter their 8th World Cup finals in history. Now these two teams will face each other in the final game on Sunday.
That game will take place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This will be a game between the two best teams of the tournament. India are on a winning streak of ten games, while Australia are coming off a seven-match streak. Both teams have some big names on their sides, and those players are in good form. Here we will be talking about the best combined playing XI for IND vs AUS based on the performances so far.
Here is the Best Combined IND vs AUS Dream11 Team of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023
1. Rohit Sharma (C) :
Rohit Sharma will be a perfect option as an opener and the captain. He has set the tone in almost all the games with his aggressive intent and has given the team good starts. Rohit has scored 550 runs at an average and strike rate of 55.00 and 124.15. He has also scored one hundred and three half-centuries with 28 sixes as well.
2. David Warner :
Veteran opener David Warner has also done something similar for Australia at the top. Warner has also batted in a positive manner and given good starts in the powerplay. He has scored 528 runs at a strike rate of 109.53 with two hundreds and two half-centuries, including a best of 163.
3. Virat Kohli :
Rohit plays in an aggressive manner because he knows that Virat Kohli will manage in the case of early wickets. Virat has been superb in this tournament and has taken his performance to new heights. He is at the top of the list with the most runs. He has scored 711 runs at an average of 101.57, with three hundreds and five half-centuries, and will be the perfect No. 3.
4. Shreyas Iyer :
Looking at both teams, Shreyas Iyer is the best No. 4. He has scored two hundreds and two half-centuries in the last four innings and is one of the reasons for India’s success so far. Iyer is the first Indian player in history to score over 500 runs at No. 4 in a World Cup event. He has scored 526 runs at an average and strike rate of 75.14 and 113.11 with two hundreds and three half-centuries.
5. KL Rahul (Wk) :
KL Rahul has also contributed pretty well with the bat. He has also been excellent with the gloves in hand. Rahul has scored runs in difficult times and played both anchor and aggressor roles pretty well. He has scored 386 runs at an average of 77.20, with India’s fastest World Cup hundred off 62 balls.
6. Glenn Maxwell :
Glenn Maxwell will be the best player at No. 6. He has some special ability and can win the game from any position, as he showed in the game against Afghanistan when he smashed a double hundred in the chase. Maxwell has scored 398 runs at a brilliant strike rate of 150.18 with 22 sixes. He has also taken 5 wickets and is a handy spinner.
7. Ravindra Jadeja :
A batting average of 55 and a bowling average of 22 in the tournament are pretty impressive numbers, and Ravindra Jadeja has done some good work for India. He has taken 16 wickets at a brilliant economy rate of 4.25 and also scored 111 runs at an average of 55.50. He will be the spin-all-rounder in the team.
8. Adam Zampa :
Adam Zampa will be another specialist wrist spinner in the team. Zampa has been superb for Australia so far. He has taken 22 wickets in ten matches at an average of 21, including three four-wicket hauls. He can turn the ball on any surface, which will make him the first-choice spinner on the team.
9. Mitchell Starc :
Mitchell Starc will be bowling with the new ball, and we all know what he can do on his day. Starc is the highest wicket-taker among the active players and has also done a decent job so far. He has taken 13 wickets so far and can swing the ball both ways at a pretty good pace.
10. Mohammed Shami :
Mohammed Shami has been superb in this batting-dominant tournament. He is at the top of the wicket-takers list. Shami played four fewer games than the other bowlers but has picked up the most wickets. He has taken 23 wickets in six games at an average and strike rate of 9.13 and 10.91. His best of 7/57 came against New Zealand in the semi-finals.
11. Jasprit Bumrah :
Jasprit Bumrah will certainly make a deadly pair with Mitchell Starc with the new and old balls. Batters will find it pretty hard to face them. He has been a consistent performer for India across the formats. Bumrah has taken 18 wickets in 10 matches at an economy rate of 3.98.
