The IND vs AUS test series is currently levelled at 1-1.
The BGT 2024-25 hangs in the balance with the series leveled at 1-1 after the first three tests. India won the first test in Perth by 295 runs while Australia roared back to maintain their undefeated streak in day-night tests in Adelaide. The third test in Brisbane ended in a rain-marred draw.
The Indian management will aim to formulate a solid plan to counter Australia’s middle-order batter Travis Head, who tops the run-scorers list with 409 runs in five innings.
Jasprit Bumrah has been India’s standout performer with 21 wickets, but he will need more support from the rest of the bowling attack to cause significant damage to the Aussies.
Sam Konstas is set to make his test debut for Australia, replacing Nathan McSweeney. The 18-year-old opener has an impressive First-Class (FC) record with 718 runs in 11 matches at an average of 42.23, including two centuries and three half-centuries.
The teams will now head to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) for the Boxing Day test.
