Australia have taken a lead of 333 runs in the IND vs AUS test at the MCG.
A see-saw day saw Australia edge well ahead in the fourth test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 as they ended day 4 with a massive second innings lead of 333 runs with one wicket in hand.
India, who started the day at 358/9, added 11 more runs before the last wicket fell. Indian bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj came fired up in Australia’s second innings and reduced the hosts to 91/6.
However, India lost the grip of the game further as Marnus Labuschagne (70) and Pat Cummins (41) formed a valuable 57-run partnership. But, the most frustrating period for India came in the last couple of hours of play as Nathan Lyon and Scott Boland made an unbeaten partnership of 55 runs off 110 balls.
At stumps on day 4, Australia are 228/9 with lead of 333 runs.
