The first Semi-final of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, IND vs AUS, will be played in Dubai.

The first semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played between India and Australia at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, on Tuesday, March 4.

Australia came into the tournament as underdogs, missing several senior players, including Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Marsh, Cameron Green, and Marcus Stoinis. However, the Aussies showcased their rich pedigree in ICC events to secure their place in the semi-finals.

They made history by achieving the highest-ever run chase in an ICC event, chasing 352 against England in Lahore. Their next two games ended with no result due to rain washouts.

India, on the other hand, have emerged as the strongest team of the competition. The Men in Blue defeated Bangladesh and Pakistan by six wickets before securing a 44-run win against New Zealand to top the Group A standings.

The Dubai wicket has suited India and their strategy of playing four spinners. It remains to be seen whether they will stick with Varun Chakravarthy or bring in Harshit Rana for the semi-final clash against Australia.

Australia could also opt for a second frontline spinner, but they would have to bench one of Spencer Johnson, Ben Dwarshuis, or Nathan Ellis for Tanveer Sangha.
