Australian Cricket Team and Indian Cricket Team will collide in second T20I of the ongoing five-match series on Friday, October 31. The encounter will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, where both sides will look for a fresh start as the opening game was washed out due to rain.
The first T20I, which was scheduled at the Manuka Oval in Canberra, ended without a result after it was hampered by rain from the start. Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and opted to bowl first in the encounter. Indian opener Abhishek Sharma started well with a few boundaries, however, he became a victim of Nathan Ellis in the fourth over.
Shubman Gill (37*) and Suryakumar Yadav (39*) helped the team reach 97/1 in 9.4 overs when the match was halted by continuous rain. Eventually, the umpires called off the encounter. Notably, the second T20I in Melbourne also has a high risk of being affected by rain, according to weather reports.

According to weather.com, the temperature of Melbourne on Friday, October 31 will be 20° C during the day and 13° C at night. The sky will be cloudy during the day, with about 80% chance of rain in the morning. However, as the day progresses, the precipitation would drop to 24%.
Notably, the encounter will start at 7:15 PM Australian time (1:45 PM IST). The chances of rain are quite high throughout the day, hence, the encounter is highly likely to be hampered by weather. The humidity will be about 58% during the day and rise to 86% at night.
Meanwhile, the Men in Blue will aim for a comeback in the T20I series, having lost the ODI series 2-1. They will be missing the services of Nitish Kumar Reddy in the second game as he has been ruled out of the first three games due to a quadriceps injury.
