On the other hand, Bangladesh outplayed Sri Lanka by four wickets in their last match. The Litton Das & Co. chased down a 169-run target on account of half-centuries by Saif Hassan and Towhid Hridoy.

Bangladesh lost to Sri Lanka in the group stage, however, they won their clashes against Hong Kong and Afghanistan. They grabbed the second spot in the group B points table with four points and qualified for the Super Four round.
