The fifth IND vs ENG test match will be played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.
The much-anticipated fifth test match of the five-match series between India and England will be played from Thursday, 7th March at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. England started the series on a high, as they won the first game by 28 runs against the hosts in Hyderabad and took a 1-0 lead.
In the second test in Vizag, India made a stunning comeback as they hammered the English side by 106 runs and leveled the series 1-1. After that, both sides clashed in Rajkot, where India won the match by 434 runs and took the lead by 2-1. In the fourth test match, Dhruv Jurel’s heroic performance helped the hosts to win the match by five wickets.
Coming into the fifth test match, the Indian cricket team will be without the services of their senior batter KL Rahul. Meanwhile, senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who was given rest in the Ranchi test due to workload management, is back in the squad.
England, on the other hand, will look to sign off on a winning note. Senior batter Joe Root smashed a century in the fourth test and will look to continue his form in the Dharamshala test. Root has also contributed with the ball in the ongoing five-match test series. Jonny Bairstow will play his 100th Test match alongside Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
