IND vs ENG semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, March 5.

As we reach the end of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, the high-energy semi-final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 5 will be one of the most exciting matches of this tournament. The reigning champions, India, who are also the favourites among fans, will face a confident England side, who finished the Super 8 stage without a defeat.

While India‘s squad has the strength and depth to win the game, some players on the England roster can change the outcome with their performance if they continue their current form. This will be the third consecutive time India and England will be up against each other in the semi-final of T20 World Cup.

The IND vs ENG match will be a superb match-up between two great cricketing teams. Although India have considerable strength and depth, they have struggled in both batting as well bowling at some stages. England can cash on that and steal the win.

As the IND vs ENG semi-final is around the corner, we take a look at three players that India needs to keep an eye on.

3 England Players Who Could Trouble India in IND vs ENG T20 World Cup 2026 Semi-Final

1. Harry Brook

Harry Brook has been one of the most best performers for England in this T20 World Cup. After struggling initially, Brook returned to form and this came after he moved to three. He hit a sensational hundred against Pakistan, almost single handedly taking his team to win. Brook presents a real threat in any match. He can pick up the pace from the start of the innings or anchor an innings for his team through the middle stages. His ability to time the ball correctly and select the right shot can turn a match quickly.

2. Adil Rashid

While the pace bowling unit of England continues to attract large amounts of press coverage, Adil Rashid is quietly having an excellent tournament with the ball. He has picked up the most wickets for England in the T20 World Cup so far, with 11 scalps at an economy rate under 8, making him one of the most effective bowlers in the competition.

Rashid’s leg-spin, variety of slower balls, and clever flight make him a particular challenge on a surface that might slow later in the game. Indian batters have struggled against the spinners in the tournament, and Rashid could well be the threat India need to negate.

3. Jofra Archer

Jofra Archer offers India a significant bowling threat. Archer has been effective with the new ball in the tournament, making crucial breakthroughs in the power play and unsettling batters with his pace, bounce, and accuracy. His deliveries have consistently troubled both top and middle-order batters

Archer has also been able to produce more bounce from flat pitches, which will require the Indian top-order players to recognise his pace and remain true to their games. If he gets an early breakthrough, England can gain early momentum, which is something India would not want to happen.
