Abhishek Sharma notched up his second T20I century on Sunday when he thrashed 135 runs off 54 balls against England in the fifth IND vs ENG T20I, played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

His strike rate of 250 reflects his ultra-intentful mindset that he bats with in T20 cricket.

Abhishek, who had hit his maiden T20I century in his career’s second T20I last year, walloped 13 sixes and seven fours in his thunderous knock today that propelled India’s total to 247/9.

He smacked the English pacers Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, and Jamie Overton to bring up a 17-ball half-century in the powerplay only, which is the second-fastest fifty for India in T20Is now.

The left-handed opener carried on his blistering form and tore into spinner Adil Rashid and Liam Livingstone to rack up a 37-ball century, which is also now the second-fastest by an Indian batsman in T20I cricket, taking only two balls more than Rohit Sharma’s record.
