Ravindra Jadeja played a valiant knock for India on the first day of Rajkot test.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has put England on the backfoot at his home turf. Jadeja played a valiant knock and brought up his fourth test ton for India. Jadeja and Rohit Sharma‘s fourth wicket partnership put India on a commanding position in the first innings after they suffered three early blows as Yashasvi Jaiswal (10), Shubman Gill (0), and Rajat Patidar (5) departed early.

Ravindra Jadeja celebrated his fourth test ton with a famous flashing sword gesture. Jadeja was a little disappointed even after reaching three figure mark as India lost debutant Sarfaraz Khan just a ball before. Sarfaraz Khan was run-out due to a poor call from all-rounder Jadeja who was on 99. Jadeja was also in shock and his century celebration was not as huge as it used to be.

Fans celebrate Jadeja’s 4th test ton

Social media celebrated Ravindra Jadeja’s century in a big manner. Users on social media platform X (formerly twitter) claimed Jadeja as current best all-rounder in cricket. Jadeja has been a wonderful performer across formats for his side in international cricket. Jadeja also played a magnificent knock of 87 runs against England in the first test match in Hyderabad.

Here’s how twitter reacted to Ravindra Jadeja’s ton:

Ravindra Jadeja brought up his century with a casual single against left-arm spinner Tom Hartley through fine-leg. Jadeja smacked two sixes and seven fours in his innings to bring up his century in 198 balls. Jadeja never looked stuck in the wicket and played useful hand along with skipper Rohit Sharma (131). They both added 204 runs for the fourth wicket partnership.

Sarfaraz Khan also played a fine knock in his debut innings. Indian dressing room was extremely disappointed with the way Sarfaraz got out after scoring 62 runs in just 66 balls. Sarfaraz smashed nine fours and one six in his stay at the wicket. Captain Rohit Sharma also looked agitated after Sarfaraz’s dismissal and threw his cap in frustration inside the Indian dressing room.
