The IND vs NAM clash in T20 World Cup 2026 will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday, February 12.
Indian Cricket Team started their campaign on a winning note in T20 World Cup 2026. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side beat United States of America (USA) by 29 runs at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on the opening day of the tournament, February 7.
Although, India struggled with bat, which was very unusual, they still managed to win. After being asked to bat, the Men-in-Blue struggled at 77/6 at one stage. But, captain Suryakumar (84* off 49) came to the team’s rescue and slammed an unbeaten half-century, taking the total to a respectable 161/9. Then with the ball, they were spot on as they restricted USA at 132/8 to win with ease.
India are now gearing up for their next clash against Namibia, which will be played on February 12 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The IND vs NAM clash will be extremely important for the Suryakumar Yadav-led side, keeping in mind their qualification for Super 8 stage.

Also, the management might look to change combination according to conditions as pitch in Delhi will be lot different to what it was in Mumbai. 2. Jasprit Bumrah in for Mohammed Siraj

Jasprit Bumrah missed the opening game against USA due to illness. However, he has regained his fitness and had an extended net session on Tuesday. This means that he will walk straight into the XI, and Mohammed Siraj will have to make way for him despite picking three wickets against USA.
After Namibia clash, India have a big game coming against arch-rivals Pakistan, and game time ahead of that clash will be must for Bumrah. He would be keen to get his rhythm back and head into IND vs PAK clash on a high.
1. Sanju Samson in for Abhishek Sharma

Opener Abhishek Sharma is all set to miss IND vs NAM clash in T20 World Cup 2026. The batter has been admitted to hospital in Delhi following his stomach infection. This means that doors are now open for Sanju Samson to make a comeback to the XI and seal his place.
Samson is expected to step in as a pure batter as Kishan has been given the responsibility behind the stumps in T20 World Cup. Due to Samson’s poor form in the recent T20I series against New Zealand, Kishan replaced him as an opener and wicket-keeper for the tournament.
