The IND vs NZ ODI series is tied 1-1 after two matches.

The India vs New Zealand ODI series has come down to the one final showdown as both sides are looking forward to outplay each other one last time. The Shubman Gill & Co. made a fabulous start to the three-match series, winning the opening game by four wickets.

After being asked to bat first, the Black Caps piled up 300/8 in the first innings, which India chased down with ease on the back of a 93-run knock by Virat Kohli. In the second clash, the visitors opted to bowl first after winning the toss and restricted India from going big.

The Michael Bracewell & Co. made a fabulous effort to halt the hosts at 284/7 and later chased down the target by seven wickets like a walk in the park. Daryl Mitchell scored a fantastic century to take his team home, winning the Player of the Match award.

Now, the third ODI is all set to take place on January 18 at Holkar Stadium in Indore. The venue is known for being a high-scoring one due to its short boundaries. Hence, a thrilling clash is expected between both sides. Indian fans might be a little worried going into the decider as New Zealand have outplayed India multiple times in crucial knockout games in the past.

India have never lost a ODI series decider against New Zealand

Notably, the Men in Blue have never lost a final of a bilateral ODI series against the Kiwis, have a 100 percent win record in series-deciding games. This applies to both home and away campaigns.

Both teams have faced each other in 122 ODI games so far, out of which, India won 63 games while New Zealand won 51 matches. One match ended in a tie while seven ended with no result.

While playing at home, India have crushed the Kiwis in 32 games out of 42 and lost only nine. One match ended with no result. India also dominate the Black Caps in New Zealand, winning 26 games and losing only 14 out of 45 ODIs.
